BROOKLYN HALF MARATHON ROUTE
The Brooklyn Half Marathon 2027 – the largest half marathon in the US – begins on Washington Avenue near the Brooklyn Museum, where your race morning energy kicks off the ultimate race day journey. From the start line, runners head towards the iconic Grand Army Plaza, a defining early landmark of the Brooklyn Half Marathon Route.
The course then flows along Flatbush Avenue and into Prospect Park for a scenic loop before emerging onto the long, fast stretch of Ocean Parkway. Along the way the momentum builds as you pass through the major commercial thoroughfare of Fulton Street and feel the energy of the Fulton Street NYC running community cheering you on. This is your chance to explore hip North Brooklyn and the borough’s most diverse neighbourhoods.
The final miles speed straight toward the legendary Coney Island Boardwalk, where you’ll cross the finish line. Wear your official race shirt and medal proudly as you celebrate your incredible achievement!

Getting to Brooklyn
Airports: Brooklyn is served by JFK, LaGuardia (LGA), and Newark (EWR) airports. JFK is the closest, around 20 km (12 miles) from downtown. Direct UK flights to New York take 7–8 hours.
• Train & Subway: From JFK, take the AirTrain to Howard Beach or Jamaica Station and connect to the subway (50–60 mins). From Newark, use the AirTrain and NJ Transit to Penn Station, then transfer to the subway (60–75 mins).
• Taxi: Taxis and apps like Uber are widely available. A ride from JFK to Brooklyn takes 30–50 mins and costs around $60–$80.
Getting around Brooklyn

Itinerary
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY
Make your own travel arrangements for flights into New York and make your way to the New York Marriott Hotel at the Brooklyn Bridge. Once checked in, the rest of the day is yours to explore New York City and soak in the atmosphere ahead of the Brooklyn Half Marathon weekend.
DAY 2 – Shakeout Run & Expo Day
Start your morning with an easy 5km shakeout run led by our reps—perfect for getting your legs moving before the race day journey ahead. Afterwards, we’ll escort the group to the official race expo, or you can head there independently. The expo in Brooklyn Bridge Park (150 Furman Street) is where you’ll collect your Brooklyn Half Marathon Race Bib and official race shirt, and soak in the excitement of the largest half marathon event in the U.S. The rest of the day is free for sightseeing or relaxing.
DAY 3 – brooklyn half marathon RaCe DaY!
It’s race morning! The Brooklyn Half Marathon 2027 takes you on a 13.1-mile tour through the Borough of Kings, beginning outside Prospect Park. The course guides runners through the park before exiting onto Ocean Parkway for a long, flat stretch leading to the iconic finish on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

DAY 4 – Departure Day
