TRAVEL INFORMATION
Getting to Copenhagen
Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (CPH): Denmark’s main international airport, located just 8 km south of the city centre. It serves flights from across Europe and worldwide.
• Train: Direct trains from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station take around 15 minutes (~DKK 36 / ~€5).
• Metro: The M2 Metro Line connects the airport with the city centre in around 15 minutes, with trains running every few minutes day and night.
• Bus: Several local buses also serve the airport, though trains and the metro are usually faster and more convenient.
• Taxi: Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall and cost around DKK 250–350 (~€35–50) for a 20–30 minute ride into the city centre, depending on traffic.
Getting around Copenhagen
• Metro: Copenhagen’s modern, driverless Metro system is one of the easiest ways to get around the city. It operates 24/7, with trains every few minutes.
• Buses: Movia operates an extensive bus network throughout Copenhagen. Buses are frequent, punctual, and integrated into the same ticketing system as trains and the metro.
• Cycling: Copenhagen is one of the world’s most bike-friendly cities. Dedicated cycle lanes cover most of the city, and bike-sharing schemes such as Bycyklen make renting a bike easy and affordable.
• Taxis: Taxis are reliable and widely available but more expensive than public transport.
• Walking: The city centre is compact and highly walkable, with many key attractions, restaurants, and the marathon start/finish areas within easy walking distance.
