The Running Channel Runs The Malaga Marathon With Sports Tours

Will you run alongside Andy, Sarah and Rick at the Malaga Marathon this December? The Running Channel & Sports Tours have teamed up to organise a trip to one of the most popular running events in Europe.

The world’s largest running community is ready to take on its next big challenge in Malaga. If you would like Andy to guide you to the finish line of a marathon, share 13.1 miles with Sarah during the half, or raise a glass of Gavi with Rick in the bar afterwards, you can enjoy a weekend packed with running motivation, tips and endless fun!

With full and half marathon distances starting and finishing simultaneously in the heart of one of Spain’s most cultured cities, not to mention shakeout runs, a live podcast recording and after party, there’s something for everyone.

The Running Channel and Sports Tours are here to support you during race weekend, starting with welcome drinks and a chance to hang out with the team and your fellow runners, a 5km shakeout run to get your legs moving, an escort to the expo, starting at the race day start line together, and a post-run party with a live podcast recording.

The half and full marathon will both start at the Paseo del Parque, in front of the Malaga Town Hall, with the finish line at the same location. The relatively flat course of Malaga will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the city. You’ll run near the Alcazaba Moorish fortress from the Islamic era and the Roman Theatre.

Malaga is set along the sparkling coastline of the Costa del Sol, allowing runners to experience breathtaking beaches and some winter sun! Temperatures will reach around 18 ºC, promising ideal conditions for your race day experience and the whole trip.
