Paris Half Marathon 2027

The Paris Half Marathon takes you from the vibrant Place de la Bastille, the route then heads east along the banks of the Seine, passing modern landmarks such as the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand before entering the leafy expanse of the Bois de Vincennes. Runners loop back towards the city centre, taking in Parisian boulevards and historic streets including the Rue de Rivoli, before finishing back at Bastille. The course is known for being relatively flat and fast, ideal for both first-time half marathoners and those chasing a new personal best.

Getting to Paris

• Airports: Paris is served by three major airports – Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Orly (ORY), and Beauvais (BVA) – all well-connected to the city centre.
• Train: Travelling by train is a fast and eco-friendly option. The Eurostar from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord takes around 2 hours 20 minutes, arriving directly in the city centre. High-speed TGV services also connect Paris with major European cities.
• Taxi & Transfers: Taxis and pre-booked airport shuttles are available outside arrivals. A taxi from CDG to central Paris takes 35–60 minutes and costs approximately €50–€60.

Getting around Paris

• Metro: The Paris Métro is the fastest and most efficient way to navigate the city, with 16 lines and over 300 stations connecting all major attractions and neighbourhoods.
• Cycling & Walking: Paris is a walkable city with many dedicated cycle lanes. The Vélib’ bike-share scheme is a convenient and eco-friendly way to explore.
• Taxi: Taxis and apps like Uber are widely available but can be more expensive during rush hours.

Make your own way to Paris and check in to the Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon TGV. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to visit the marathon expo, where bib collection is available. In the evening, join your Sports Tours International representative for welcome drinks – the perfect chance to meet the team and connect with your fellow runners. 

2026 Paris Marathon runners must download and complete the Health Prevention Course up to three months before the event. You can download the Health Prevention Course here and please give to it the event organisers at the expo.

After breakfast, join our 5k shakeout run through the surrounding area of Paris, to move your legs pre marathon. Your Sports Tours representative will do a guided trip to and from the expo today to collect your race pack – and another opportunity to collect your bib.

The Semi de Paris expo village and registration is located at Grande Halle de La Villette, 211 Avenue Jean James. There will also be a city sightseeing tour this morning to explore Paris! Enjoy the rest of the day to explore.

Today is the day! Grab your trainers as you take your spot on the Paris Half Marathon starting line. Your Sports Tours rep will do a guided trip over to the start line this morning. The race starts and finish is at the Place de la Bastille. In the evening, celebrate your achievements in style with our post marathon party.
